About us
Protecting Rotherfield from inappropriate developments which would change forever our small, rural community, damage the environment and increase the village population by some 25%.
We are your fellow residents volunteering to protect the village. We welcome any help, so do get involved - we are stronger together.
Our aim
What we do
A group of Parishioners formed in 1992 prepared to fight to protect the village of Rotherfield and its residents from an urban sprawl and increasing traffic. It was successful in 2003 in preventing development for 90 houses on the original Court Farm site. Canvassing the village and demonstrating the overwhelming opposition to this scheme deterred the developer from going to planning.
Since then the Group has always opposed new development which was seen to be detrimental to the village and made Rotherfield Parish Council and Wealden District Council aware of their presence . The Group has been a rallying point against AONB development within the Village
