Nus Ghani is our Conservative MP for Wealden. and Minister of State - Dept for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy & was Parliament Under-Secretary of State for Transport. Her knowledge is relevant to our cause. Let her know your views as constructively as you can and ensure you ask her to take an action. WD/2023/0880/PO - 106 Agreement
This is for the land swop and if accepted would pave the way for the development to be able to build. It is an agricultural restriction tying the land to the Farmhouse and the business. If it remains in place the development will fail.
Deadline: 12th November 2023
WD/2023/0893/MEA
This is the application for the 75 houses if the land swop is allowed.

How you can make a difference

Become an RPG Liaison Officer

We have a group of LOs that attend some meetings if they wish and their ideas are collected to keep us current. They ‘spread the word’ as they move around the area and they assist with small tasks and leaflet drops in & around the Village.

To be really effective in opposing undesirable planning applications we need a huge range of skills. We know Rotherfield is a village with much talent hidden away and if you think you have any of the ‘Talents’ below please contact us!

Communications & Social Media - helping with & managing website content/email & Facebook/Twitter

Campaigning & Lobbying - we aim to connect with as many relevant organisations and experts in as many ways possible - if you have great contacts please let us know!

Research - finding facts/statistics/information everywhere to help oppose applications and to remain aware of current plans and actions

Fundraising - we need money to buy expertise & communicate - any events/skills you have to keep the cash flowing in we would welcome

Organising Events - a way to keep the village motivated and informed - if you are a great organiser in the smallest or largest of ways - we need you!

Planning/Environnment/Traffic/AONB/Climate/Biodiversity knowledge would be gratefully received at any time even on a one-off basis
